Though born in Johannesburg, Stuart grew up in Cape Town, attending Wet Pups, Bishops and completing his studies at UCT. Stuart entered MKD as a young article clerk, and found a passion and a keen interest in heading up a smaller firm which is entrepreneurial-minded and driven. MKD represents a passion for people, their businesses and great, long-lasting relationships. Stuart, a businessman in many regards (see Bannister Group to find out more about his other endeavours), is not your average accountant – or “bean counter” as he jests. Stuart believes you cannot run a business without being dedicated to each party involved, your team and most importantly each and every client; this notion shines through MKD, inside and out.

Stuart has a son, 7 years old, whom he enjoys spending time doing fun activities with – such as karting. Stuart is an exercise enthusiast, having done over 100 marathons and countless hours on the yoga mat. Stuart is a motorsports fan, and an avid collector of classic cars, as well modern & contemporary South African art. Stuart’s home also comprises their beloved Bengal cat, Jagger and a school of delightful Koi Fish. 

Raymond grew up in Paarl, in the “shadow of the winelands”. As he came up to his high school years, Raymond moved to Welkom, and from there would proceed to UCT to study for a Certificate in the Theory of Accounting. Receiving his professional accountancy qualifications, Raymond founded what is now MKD with another, first trading in 1980. Raymond is currently the Principal of his Incorporated Consultancy of MKD, essentially heading up his side as the company’s accounting services. Raymond believes that to do it properly, one needs to offer a full service operation; and that is exactly what his team brings to the table. “Cradle to the Grave” and everything surrounding and within this – including assisting with some auditing aspects of Stuart’s side of the business, where necessary. Raymond is passionate about people and the relationships built with them to ensure their success and a true partnership of MKD. Raymond enjoys a hands-on approach to his business and encourages his team to grow and use his support when they need.

Raymond is married, with two grown children, Mika & Kiara, and two dogs, Shoko (poodle) & Levi (a mixed breed). Raymond likes to keep himself fit through running ½ marathons and he is an avid sports watcher – he enjoys soccer, rugby, tennis & cricket. Raymond reads journal articles pertaining to his field, and in his downtime enjoys all that Netflix has to offer.  

Tim grew up in Kwa-Zulu Natal and relocated to Cape Town in 2022.  After completing his studies through UNISA correspondence he spent 13 years in practice and a further 2 years in commerce before joining MKD.  Through that time he gained valuable experience in tax, auditing, accounting and financial management.

Tim’s main focus at MKD is on managing the audit department, the audit team works closely to service a large range of clients.  In this role he is actively involved in the audits by assisting with queries and reviewing the work performed by the other team members.  He also derives great satisfaction in mentoring and developing staff members and observing their growth over time.

The family atmosphere and the feeling of being part of a team at MKD are factors which he admires in the firm. The long-serving staff members and clients produce a sense of stability which Tim values highly.

Tim resides in Edgemead with his wife, two young boys and two Jack Russell’s who keep the family active.  Tim is also sports fanatic who enjoys hockey, football and rugby.

Nadia is fairly recent to the MKD team, joining in December 2019. Nadia’s indispensable skill set was acquired hands-on, she was not only taught by an accountant but also had her own business in Johannesburg for 12 years. After taking a break to look after family, she is looking forward to growing in MKD, which she feels passionate about. It was love at first sight, and now Nadia speaks highly of the family atmosphere and how nice it is to be part of a more intimate firm. Being a part of Stuart’s team has re-invigorated her desire to work, and Nadia feels that in the industry he really stands out as being a people’s person who actually cares.

Nadia has three grown children. She lives with her mother, her nephew and her cat, Pearly, in Rondebosch East. Nadia enjoys walks in the area where they live, swimming (a real water baby!), baking, reading about true life events, and watching comedy or drama movies. Nadia is looking forward to a post-covid world and the company’s projected growth, with happy clients – which are her ideal clients. 

Demetri has worked for the practice for over two decades. He began under the tutelage of Ramond and has risen within the close-knit team to senior accountant. His experience as an accountant and tax consultant has seen him work on a variety of clients ranging from individuals, corporates and trusts.

Born and raised in Cape Town, Courtenay holds a BCompt (Hons) degree and has 20 years auditing experience. At MKD, Courtenay enjoys the close-knit family vibe, many of which are long-serving staff, ready to help each other easily.

Gillian has a BCompt degree in accounting and is a Professional Accountant. She has more than 20 years of experience in the accounting profession and has been working for MKD Chartered Accountants for all of that time. She deals with the accounting and tax aspects of various clients including individuals, companies and trusts and enjoys particularly the tax side of things. She enjoys keeping abreast of ever changing legislation as it ensures that the accounting and tax profession remains interesting and at times challenging. In her downtime, Gillian enjoys nature related activities particularly walking and hiking, a bit of gardening, reading books and listening to informative podcasts.

Eloise has been employed by MKD Chartered Accountants Incorporating Raymond Klitzner Financial Consultancy for 21 years.

Her academic record speaks to a Bachelor of Commerce (B.COM) degree achieved at Stellenbosch University and thereafter a B.COMPT degree achieved at Unisa. Eloise followed through by serving her Articles of Clerkship at MKD Chartered Accountants gaining theoretical and practical experience in the Auditing, Accounting and Taxation fields. From these initial years she has always displayed extreme professionalism and diligence which attributes she continues to exemplify. Her ability to multitask, manage staff who report to her and carry out any assignments with extreme enthusiasm and in-depth subject knowledge are continuously evident. Eloise is well educated in the disciplines that an Accountancy Practice indulges in and is particularly efficient in computer technology. She is well liked by our clients and her peers alike and above all is respectful in all her dealings with clients and her fellow workers.

Eloise loves indulging in outdoor activities (standup paddleboarding, kayaking and running) inclusive of a deep appreciation of nature and animals. Her dogs are extremely precious to herself.

Eloise is a real asset to our firm and does us extremely proud.

Shaheeda heads up our debtors department, oversees the billing side of the business  and has been with the company for many years.
